I'm a photojournalist and documentary photographer focused on visualizing community in its many forms.

Communities, whether permanent or temporary, are an extension of people's identities, values, and lives. They unite people who come from potentially different life experiences under a common banner. My work aims to show the bonds that hold communities together while highlighting the individuals who make them.

I will also slow down my process to create more staged imagery, as I do in my portraiture work. In these photos, I aim to express internal states of mind visually.

Overall, my work aims to highlight overlooked places, people, and events, and to clearly communicate complex emotions.
